This project consists of playground renovations at four different schools within the Abington School District: Copper Beech Elementary School, Rosyln Elementary School, Rydal East Elementary School, and Rydal West Elementary School. Renovations include but are not limited to the following: . Removal and disposal of existing wood mulch play surfacing. . Removal, disposal, and replacement of existing deteriorated timber play surface edging. . Removal and disposal of existing play structures as noted on plans. . Removal and disposal of lawn and earthen subgrade for expanded play surface areas. . Provide and replace missing and/or damaged components of existing play structures. . Provide and install new play surfacing with new engineered wood fiber surfacing and subbase materials. . Provide and install new play structures with associated concrete footings. . Provide and install a new concrete ramp for access to a new play structure. . Provide and install new handrails along an existing concrete ramp. . Provide and install a new bituminous asphalt access path. . Fine grading and seeding of damaged and regraded lawn areas. . Grow-in responsibility for newly seeded areas. . Alternate bids for poured-in-place rubber play surfacing with subbase drainage piping, as well as, other alternate bids detailed within the project manual. Bulletin No. 752 Playground Renovations.
