Design and installation of improvements to the existing Edgewood Skate Park Question Deadline 10/16/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Intent to Bid by Oct 23, 2023 5:00 PM EDT. Location The Edgewood Skate Park is inside Edgewood Park in New Haven, CT. The closest park entrance is at Whalley Ave and Fitch St. Scope of Work 1. The contractor will be responsible for designing and building modifications to an existing skate park inside Edgewood Park. 2. The City does not anticipate significant changes to the footprint of the skate park. We anticipate that the newer concrete section will remain, and the older asphalt area or some portion thereof (approximately 22,300 square feet) will be replaced. However, it is not necessary for the footprint to remain exactly the same. 3. Existing trees must be protected throughout this project. Both equipment and materials must be kept out of the drip zone of trees at all times. Any trees to be pruned or removed must be approved in writing by the Chief Landscape Architect. 4. Meetings: this project will include between 3-7 design meetings with stakeholders including staff from the Department of Engineering, the Department of Parks and Public Works, and representatives from the skateboarding community.
