The project scope of work includes: Constructing a dry detention reservoir and berm / dam along La Volla Creek. The proposed new detention pond includes inlets off Airport Tributary #1 and La Volla Creek and also erosion and water quality improvements. a) Pond inlet structures #1 consist of a low-flow 5-ft by 4-ft culvert in Airport Tributary #1, located on the north bank of La Volla Creek. The structure is designed to divert dry/low flow into the detention reservoir. During wet/high flow conditions a portion of the flow is diverted into the reservoir thru the 5- ft by 4-ft culvert and some flow continues downstream in the Airport Tributary #1. b) Pond inlet structures #2 consist of 8 - 8-ft by 4-ft culvert at Invert elevation 22.50 located along the south bank of the reservoir adjacent to La Volla Creek. When flow in La Volla Creek reaches 22.50 and higher flow enters the reservoir thru Pond inlet structures #2. c) Pond Outfall Structure consists of a 5-ft by 4-ft culvert located in the southeast corner of the reservoir and discharges into the Airport Tributary #1, southeast of the reservoir. The culvert serves a dual purpose. It drains the low weather flow from the reservoir during dry/low flow conditions and drains stored flow from the reservoir in wet/high flow conditions. d) New gravel access and maintenance road with decomposed granite trail. e) Exterior reservoir site drainage grading and drainage structures. f) Protect and support existing utility lines crossed during construction. g) Restoration of surface features including but not limited to pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, guardrails, and turf establishment. h) Turf establishment in reservoir. i) Site amenities. The deadline to ask questions is 10/25/2023 5:00 PM CST A Bid Bond must guarantee, without qualification or condition, that the Owner will be paid a sum equal to 5 percent (5%)
