The City of Huntington Beach (City) Public Works Department is soliciting Requests for Quote (RFQ) from qualified firms / contractors / vendors with experience to provide all labor, equipment and materials for Civic Center facilities janitorial, day porter and related janitorial services. The Civic Center buildings include: City Hall and the Police Department (and 3 Police substations and the Police Heliport), both located at 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, California 92648. The Public Works Department intends to award two (2) separate three (3) year base period service agreements with up to two (2) one-year optional renewals at or around the same time, for the following two facility groups: 1) Civic Center facilities janitorial, & 2) City Yards facilities janitorial. Both Public Works janitorial RFQ's are posted on Planet Bids with the same schedule of events, same mandatory pre-bid meeting, but with different site visit schedules. Potential vendors are encouraged to review both Public Works facilities janitorial RFQ's currently posted on Planet Bids. Firms are invited to submit a quote for one or both Public Works facility janitorial services RFQ's currently posted on Planet Bids. The City intends to select two separate vendors to provide janitorial services to the Civic Center and City Yards facilities. The two (2) successful vendors must provide dedicated staff to the Public Works contracts and cannot share (pull away) janitorial staff that is working at other City facilities for the Community & Library Services Department. The City reserves the right to cancel, amend, modify and / or redistribute buildings and / or services needed for one or both Public Works facility janitorial RFQ's, if determined to be in the best interest of the City, for any reason.
