Reference Number 0000330987 The Bellvue Water Treatment Plant's (WTP) existing emergency chlorine scrubber was installed and commission for service in 2000 and it needs to be replaced with a new dry media chlorine scrubber. The successful proposal will include: - Decommissioning, demolishing, and removing the existing scrubber; - Engineering design for the new dry media chlorine scrubber to neutralize an overfilled one-ton chlorine container meeting the latest NFPA1/UFC and all other applicable state and federal regulations; - Installation, commissioning, and testing of the new dry media chlorine scrubber. - All necessary engineering design, supervision, , equipment, and materials will be included in a successful proposal. The existing scrubber is housed in a brick building with two standard doors for entry and egress. The City of Greeley is planning on housing the new scrubber inside the same building. Consideration should be given to the entryway restrictions. The building may be modified (e.g. adding a larger door) as part of the proposal, if the contractor determines that is the safest, most cost-effective, and efficient solution. A site visit is highly encouraged. The contractor shall provide all engineering design calculations and ensure the new dry media chlorine scrubber will comply with all current regulatory statues. The contractor shall provide the means for removing the caustic soda in the existing scrubber and disposing it in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations. All costs associated with this type of proposal shall be included to provide for the removal and disposition of the existing scrubber/waste and furnishing, installing, and commissioning the new scrubber. Provide shipping and handling to the site at the Bellvue WTP 4505 Filter plant Rd. Bellvue, CO 80512. Complete final cleanup of the construction site and demobilize all equipment.
