A timeline for rebidding has not been established.* The scope of work will include the following This project includes removal of existing carpet and replacement with either carpet squares or Luxury Vinyl Tile in the basement of the library. The base bid shall consist of pricing for carpet squares at all locations. The Library is also requiring pricing for installing Luxury Vinyl Tile at each of the locations. The Library reserves the right to choose whichever material is installed at each location. The total price for determining the lowest responsible bidder will be based upon the option chosen for each location by the Library. The Contractor is required to submit pricing for both materials, failure to do so may disqualify the bid. The contractor shall be responsible for proposing the sequence of construction to best suit his scheduling requirements. The Library retains the right to approve, reject, or modify the proposed sequence based upon its needs and concerns, which will be further presented and discussed at the preconstruction conference to be held for this project. Library issues such as parking and access will take precedence over contractor's scheduling needs, and no extension of time will be allowed in meeting the village's requirements with respect to the construction sequence. Notice is hereby given by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Schiller Park Library Board, Cook County, Illinois, that sealed bid proposals will be received for the following improvement: Flooring Improvements at the Village of Schiller Park Public Library 4200 Old River Road This project includes removal of existing carpet and replacement with either carpet squares or Luxury Vinyl Tile in the basement of the library. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the Proposals without the consent of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Schiller Park Library Board for a period forty- five (45) days after the scheduled time of bid opening. The Contractor and Subcontractor shall comply with all regulations issued pursuant to Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130), and other applicable Federal Laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards. The successful bidder for the work will be required to furnish sufficient insurance to the Village of Schiller Park Library Board and the Engineer against all damage claims that might arise due to the negligence of the Contractor and will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of the contract. The Village of Schiller Park Library Board reserves the right in receiving these bids to waive technicalities and reject any or all bids.
