The project includes an addition to an existing fire station. The addition is a new type IIB 1,500 sf safe room & supports paces. The entire addition is a FEMA 361 hurricane safe room & will have emergency power provided by a natural gas generator, sanitation support systems (wastewater storage) & potable water supply (consisting of a domestic water booster pump & water storage tank). The exterior walls are 8" reinforced CMU w/ filled cells, aluminum & glass storm windows, & hollow metal storm doors. The steel truss roof structure is supported by the 8" CMU, & the roof consists of reinforced concrete & composite MTL deck w/ a standing seam MTL roof. Spray foam insulation is located at the interior side of the roof. The interior finishes include LVT, carpet, & ceramic tile floor covering, rubber base, ptd walls, & suspended act or gyp bd ceilings. Fire Protection District 5 Hwy 16 Station Safe Room Addition The successful Bidder will be required to enter into a contract with the above Owner and to furnish all the materials, perform all of the work, supervise, coordinate, administrate and be responsible for the work. A Cashier's or Certified Check, Payable Without Recourse to Livingston Parish Government or Acceptable Surety Proposal Bond in an Amount Not Less Than 5% and of the Largest Possible Bid Must Accompany Each Bid as a Guarantee That if Awarded the Contract, the Bidder Will Promptly Enter into a Contract and Execute Bonds in Forms as Outlined in the Specifications. A Performance and Payment Bonds in an Amount of 100% of the Contract Will Be Required to Be Furnished by the Successful Bidder, and All Costs in Connection With Such Bonds Shall Be Paid by the Successful Bidder. The Contractor/Bidder shall certify that he is licensed under R.S. 37:2150-2173 and show the Bidder's name, his Louisiana license number, and the project name on the bid envelope.
