PROJECT LOCATION: High Street Extension Thomaston, CT 06787 The work includes replacing an existing culvert across High Stret Extension with a concrete box culvert, replacing two existing driveway culverts off High Street Extension with high density polyethylene pipe culverts. The Town of Thomaston reserves the right to cancel the project if funding is not approved. All technical inquiries regarding this request may be directed to Edmond V. Mone, First Selectman, Town of THOMASTON, in writing at (emone@thomastonct.org ), with a copy to Tighe & Bond, Inc., Joseph Canas, PE, LEED AP, CFM, (jacanas@tighebnd.com). No inquiries shall be responded to that are received after October 5, 2023 by close of business 5pm. Bid deposit in the form of a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the maximum total amount of the Bid and made payable to the Town of Thomaston, Connecticut. Performance and Payment Bonds, in the full amount of the Contract price, will be required of the Successful Bidder. No Bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the opening of Bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids, or to accept any Bid which in their opinion, is in the public interest to do so Each work assignment must be completed within 242 days after town issuing Letter to proceed, winter shutdown excluded. Contractor further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of ($1,000.00) one thousand dollars for each consecutive calendar day thereafter from letter to Proceed.
