A certified or cashiers check or bid bond, executed by the bidder and an approved Surety Company, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Contractor shall not pay less than the current prevailing hourly rate of wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the work is performed, as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. Payroll records will be required from the Contractor by the County. Owner, Architect, and Engineer will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda (if any) obtained from sources other than the issuing office. All Contract Documents must be obtained by the Bidder from taaplanroom.com or ADS to be an Eligible Bidder. In order to expedite responses to technical questions regarding the contract documents, prospective bidders are encouraged to send written questions to Chris Neff at The Architects Alliance via e-mail: cneff@thearchitectsalliance.com. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of bids. Likewise, the Owner reserves the right to select the lowest and best bid which is in the best interest of the Owner. A Performance Bond and a Material and Labor Payment Bond in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price shall be furnished by the successful bidder. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Budget somewhere between 1.5 and 2.5 million.
