Utah Valley University is a rapidly growing institution for higher education. The School of Education located in the McKay Education (ME) building is in need of expansion to accommodate the department's growth. Per the attached documentation in this solicitation, Utah Valley University seeks pre-approved general contractor proposals for the construction of a Student Success Center addition to meet their programmatic objectives. The conjoining addition brings together the West and East buildings currently connected by a simple breezeway and mechanical corridor. The scope of this project is outlined and defined in detail in the buyer attachments of this solicitation and will be reviewed and discussed during the Mandatory Pre-bid Meeting and walkthrough. Coordination of hazardous material remediation as identified in the hazardous materials survey attachment will be the responsibility of the general contractor and anticipated to be completed concurrently during regular construction activities. This portion of work will be contracted directly by DFCM outside of this solicitation activity with scheduling guidance from the selected general contractor. As the abatement activities are only limited in nature, no scheduling delay impacts are expected from this portion of work and would require a maximum duration of approximately (2) weeks with return mobilizations for any exterior wall penetration as noted in the survey attachments Question Deadline 10/13/2023 at 3:00 PM MT
