The Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS or Department) is soliciting bids to procure the following: Repair and refinish the gym floor inside the Maryland Correctional Institution Women, located at 7943 Brock Bridge Road. Jessup, MD 20794. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, supervision, permits, Insurance, etc., necessary to provide the repair of the above service. Contract shall be completed within 60 days from award. Small Business Reserve Designation: Yes Scope of Work: 1. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to tear out water damaged hardwood to access the subfloor, which is approximately 70-100 square feet*. The Contractor must also remove and replace all black vent cove around the gymnasium and dispose of accordingly (approximately 400 linear square feet*). 2. The Contractor shall supply all materials, including, but not limited to, plywood, pins for possible subfloor repair, maple flooring (approximately 70-100 square feet*), generators to run sanders, and sealant for the new wood. 3. The Contractor shall sand, seal, and finish approximately 7,500 square feet* of hardwood flooring. 4. The Contractor shall tape and paint lines for both the volleyball and basketball courts. The Contractor shall also install a facility provided logo in the center of the floor (please note this will be provided by the facility). 5. Once the Contractor completes the lines and logo on the new surface it must be recoated and sealed. 6. The Contractor shall install new black vent cove on the bottom of the walls around the gymnasium floor, replacing what was removed (approximately 400 linear feet*) 7. The Contractor shall be responsible for all work to be completed in accordance with standard practices for this type of work. The Department must approve of the work once finished.
