All bid questions must be put in writing by posting a Question in the Q & A section listed in the bid opportunities Foothill-De Anza Community College District is seeking bids for Foothill College, Dry-Rot and Concrete Repairs The scope of work of this project is to repair sunken concrete slabs at building 8700 and damaged glu-lam rafter tails on existing Foothill College buildings to prevent moisture intrusion and dry rot infestation in the buildings. The rotted rafter tails and damaged concrete walkways will be replaced to match existing surroundings to maintain with the building aesthetic and historical elements around the campus. All the new work also includes painting and cleaning work to match existing surroundings as required per college's direction. DSA approved drawings and other as built drawings will be provided if needed. All newly installed rafter tails will receive new elastomeric painting (minimum 1 prime & 2 coatings) as required. A temporary soaring/bracing structure will be applied if needed during the construction for safety requirements. Contractor's License Classification. In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code 3300, the District requires that Bidders possess the following classification(s) of California Contractors License at the time that the Contract for the Work is awarded: B License. Bidder not so duly and properly licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law. No payment shall be made for work, labor, materials or services provided under the Contract for the Work unless and until the Registrar of Contractors verifies to the District that the Bidder awarded the Contract is properly and duly licensed to perform the Work.
