All questions, clarifications, requests must be received in writing via email to Lee Whited, P.E., lee@cbdeng.com and Chuck Corbett, ccorbett@cbdeng.com no later than 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 16th, 2023. Any requests received after that time and date will not be addressed. A Cashiers Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to Continental Homes of Texas, L.P. on behalf of Leander Municipal Utility District No. 3 and the City of Leander in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will within 10 days of award enter into a contract and furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract price. The Bidders surety will be forfeited and become the property of the Owner should the bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish bonds acceptable to the Owner within 10 days after awarding the contract. Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Owners judgment will be most advantageous to the District and City of Leander, and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. A Maintenance Bond will be required in the amount of 10% of the contract price and is to remain in force for a period of two years from the date of the letter of final acceptance from the City of Leander and Leander Municipal Utility District No. 3.
