SCOPE For furnishing all the materials, labor and equipment and doing all the work necessary to complete maintenance and restoration of City roads (concrete and asphalt) and similar asphalt structures. Bid amounts shall include all costs necessary to perform the work including, but not limited to, material, labor, equipment, personal safety, overhead expenses, insurance, performance surety and profit. The City shall not directly pay the cost of Performance Surety. This specification covers the restoration of all classes of improved roadway surfaces which may be disturbed in the operation of the Cincinnati Water Works Distribution System, Department of Transportation and Engineering, or locations operated by the Recreation Commission and Park Board. Restoration of surfaces may be required in any of the various political subdivisions and unincorporated areas served by these City Agencies. Restoration of other similar existing asphalt surfaces will also be required, including but not limited to, parking lots, driveways, and the restoration of the asphalt of sports courts. This contract is not intended for new construction and shall not be used for new construction. It is understood that the quantities are approximate only and shall not govern the amount required during the contract period. The estimated quantities indicated will be used solely for the purpose of making a tabulation of the bids. Bidders are to complete the Excel pricing sheet in the shaded areas (Volume #3). Prices bid are firm and fixed for the project. All work is as needed in nature. Starting on the date a procurement solicitation is issued and expiring on the date the contract is awarded, actual and prospective respondents or bidders (including their representatives or persons acting on their behalf) are prohibited from contacting any City employees other than the assigned Buyer or a representative from the City's Department of Procurement, in any manner regarding this solicitation. Any contact other than with the assigned Buyer or the City's Department of Procurement during the no contact period may be justification for rejection of the violator's bid.
