The following describes the requirements for the clean-up of various encampment sites within the City of Hamilton. Work requests will be issued on an as and when required basis with limited advanced notice. 1. The Successful Bidder will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supplies required for the clean-up and disposal of garbage of encampments within the City of Hamilton 2. General equipment such as trucks, trailers, dump trailers, small equipment and tools are to be included in the Unit Prices for items 1 to 4 in the Schedule of Prices. 3. A track skid steer may be required in specific instances throughout the Contract. The track skid steer shall include an operator and shall be billed at the Unit Price bid in the Schedule of Prices for this item. 4. Removal and disposal of refuse, various types of materials, various sizes of materials and various weights of materials 5. Removal of hazardous waste including but not limited to sharps, human waste, personal hygiene items and propane tanks. 6. Removal of personal items of various sizes (clothing, photographs, books, furniture) for storage at a designated site as directed by the Project Manager. 7. Some encampments are established in areas that are difficult to access. It may not be possible for trucks and other vehicles to park close to the site. In these cases the debris will have to be carried out. 8. This Contract is being issued by the City's Parks and Cemeteries Section for the clean-up of encampments in Parks and Cemeteries managed properties however the Contract may extend to other properties owned by the City. The Project Manager will be a Parks and Cemeteries staff person; however, the Successful Bidder will also be required to interact with other City staff.
