Reference Number 0000256361 Question Acceptance Deadline 2023/10/02 03:00:00 PM EDT The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is a non share capital corporation without share capital. Among its responsibilities are the management, operation and maintenance of Toronto Pearson International Airport. The GTAA has adopted a carbon reduction initiative targeting Net Zero Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2050. Our emissions footprint will be reduced by improving operational efficiency and investing in projects and initiatives for the direct reduction or offset of energy consumption and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions to achieve this goal. As part of our multi-strategy plan, the GTAA will begin procuring Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). We view RNG is a viable, locally sourced carbon reduction solution that will help us meet emissions reductions targets while supporting Canadian RNG production as a purchaser and user. Our initial plan is to acquire volumes that will offset up to 6000 tonnes of carbon in 2023 and 6,000 tonnes in 2024 to start . Volumes beyond 2024 will be established at a later date. The goal of this RFP is three-fold: - Gain a better understanding of the RNG supplier landscape, including production volumes, prices and contract terms available in the marketplace - Build a roster of suppliers that we can transact with as needed in order to align with the GTAA procurement and risk management policies - Execute supply agreements to meet our 2023 and 2024 targets and beyond Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
