The Echo Water Resource Recovery Facility provides wastewater treatment to the Sacramento area and surrounding cities, serving approximately 1.6 million customers. The Echo Water Facility currently uses a Tertiary Treatment process and the treated effluent is discharged into the Sacramento River near the town of Freeport. Question Due Date: October 10th, 2023 Project Completion: 60 working days after Notice to Proceed sealed bids to provide all labor and materials necessary for RFB # 8460 MS Tank #2 Concrete & Piping Repair Project located at 8521 Laguna Station Road, Elk Grove, CA 95758. The EchoWater Resource Recovery Facility provides wastewater treatment to the Sacramento area and surrounding cities, serving approximately 1.6 million customers. The EchoWater Facility currently uses a Tertiary Treatment process and the treated effluent is discharged into the Sacramento River near the town of Freeport. The EchoWater Facility uses Mixed Sludge (MS) process tanks that were originally built in the early 1990's to store mixed sludge at an elevated temperature until the sludge can be taken into a digester. MS Tank #2 is made up of reinforced concrete over the bottom 2/3, while the top 1/3 is constructed from carbon steel. This project involves repairing delaminated concrete and concrete pop outs on the tank exterior as well as repairing a section of coating on the concrete interior. Additionally, a portion of the piping on the exterior of the tank needs to be replaced.
