The project consists of repairs as noted on attached Holbrook Environmental Restoration - Contractor is to restore site to initial or better condition. Contractor is to provide all construction, permits, inspections, labor, materials, equipment, services, supplies, insurance, testing and instrumentation necessary to comply with MDE standards and incidental to the completion of all work as specified herein for a complete turnkey system. The work to be accomplished under this Contract is located at Chesapeake Detention Center, 401 East Madison Street, Baltimore City, Maryland 21202. The deadline for questions has been established as October 6, 2023, at 9:00AM to assure that there is enough time to allow the A/E to provide responses and Addendum issuance if necessary. Please submit all questions to the Procurement Officer: James Alston The work shall be completed within _ 60_ calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified. the contractor will be liable for liquated damages of $250.00 Bid Bond in the amount of 5% Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% per calendar day as specified in the The proposed project shall include but is not limited to the following: o Work consists of repairs as noted on the report from Holbrook Environmental in the attached; Facility Inspection form dated 03/23/2023. 20,000-gallon heating oil UST - ATG riser is corroded and needs to be replaced - Piping sump failed a hydrostatic test, needs assessment and repair 2,500-gallon diesel UST - Tank did not pass ullage test, pressure leak was noted from lines in the tank top sump, needs assessment and repair, tank top upgrade - Entry boots should be installed in the transition sump and the sump retested, additional work may be needed up to and including replacing the transition sump, tank top upgrade - Piping sump failed a hydrostatic test, needs assessment and repair, tank top upgrade o Provide all labor, equipment, services, material, supplies and incidental for the complete installation and operation of all work which have not been specifically mentioned but are reasonably implied and is necessary for the safe and satisfactory Completion of the entire project shall be performed by the Contractor as is specified herein o The removal and proper disposal of debris off of State Property. o Coordinate the work of all trades. o The Contractor shall be responsible for any damage to State Property caused by activities associated with or related to this project, i.e. structures, walks, entrances, surrounding landscaping and support utilities. o Prior to performing any excavation work, the contractor shall notify miss utility to mark all underground utilities. In addition, the contractor shall work with personnel to locate other stateowned utilities. o The contractor shall be responsible to perform all excavation, shoring, etc. necessary to perform the work. o Contractor shall provide personnel with flags or other traffic control devices to adequately maintain the safe traffic flow as well as the safety of on-site residents, visitors and staff. Contractor shall also take adequate precautions to protect the work from damage or other situations that would, or would lead to, an undesirable impact on the finished product. o Conform to the requirements of all rules, regulations, and codes of local, state, and federal authorities having jurisdiction. o Test equipment to verify proper operation. o If applicable, Provide Demonstration and Training to the on-site staff.
