The scope of Work shall include the replacement of two (2)existing grit collector and conveyor equipment located above the grit channel in the Headworks Building. The Authority supplied replacement equipment consists of two (2) sets of chain and bucket grit collector units, shaftless screw conveyors and control panels. The work shall also include the replacement of all associated electrical appurtenances and the installation of the two (2) new main control panels in the control room of the Headworks Building. A certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid, as specified in the Bid submitted by the Bidder, but not in excess of $20,000.00, whichever is lower, must be submitted with the Bid as a guaranty that if a contract is awarded by the Authority, the Successful Bidder shall execute the Contract required by the Contract Documents. Where the Contract Documents so require, a Consent of Surety in the amount equal the one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price will be required. The surety or sureties issuing any Bid Bond and/or a Consent of Surety as required by the Contract Documents shall be licensed and/or authorized to transact business in the State of New Jersey and shall be acceptable to the Authority. Contractor shall be required to comply with the requirements of the Law Against Discrimination, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31, et. seq. and the Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Rules set forth at N.J.A.C. 17:27-1, et seq. and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, 42 U.S.C. 12.101, et seq., as applicable. Additionally, a copy of the Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, for the Bidder and subcontractors must be submitted prior to the award of the Contract in conformance with N.J.S.A. 52:32- 44. The Successful Bidder, as that term is defined in the Contract, shall be required to comply with all provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25, et seq., as applicable, and all other Applicable Laws. The Authority expressly reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and/or to waive any informalities in accordance with the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq.
