It is the intent of the (SCVRD) to seek bids from qualified contractors to remove existing flooring and install Luxury Vinyl Tile Flooring in our Finance Building located in West Columbia. All bids shall be in accordance with the specifications herein. Question Deadline 09/29/2023 at 11:00 AM ET Remove all of the existing flooring and base in the areas indicated on the floor plan (Attachment A). Clean and prepare the existing concrete surface to receive the new flooring in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. o Furnish and install (Basis of Design) Milliken Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT): Natural-Loose Lay, Pike, Color: PIK176-121 Bark flooring, to include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment necessary. Floor covering adhesive shall be approved by flooring manufacturer prior to installation. All new flooring areas to receive 6" Black Rubber Base and Transitions as required. Equipment and furnishings are not to be dragged across any surfaces. o All demolished material is to be removed from the site by the contractor and disposed of properly. o Patch and repair all areas disturbed by the work. o Contractor shall comply with the Davis-Bacon Act and all wage and hour payroll sheets shall be submitted weekly. This solicitation shall be subject to the requirements of the Davis Bacon Act. The Davis Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) requires all contractors and subcontractors performing work on federally assisted contracts in excess of $2,000 to pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area. The prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits are determined by the Secretary of Labor for inclusion in covered contracts. The United States Department of Labor has issued regulations establishing standards and procedures for the administration and enforcement of Davis Bacon labor standards provisions. o Installer shall supply agency with cleaning instructions from the manufacturer. o See floor plan (attachment A) for areas of installation. o All work shall be warranted for a period of one (1) year from the Date of Final Completion and all materials shall be warranted in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty.
