Sand Bypass Dredging Port Everglades. Question Deadline 10/26/2023 at 5:00 PM ET 09/28/2023 at 2:00 PM ET The County provides a specified time for Vendors to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the requirements of the solicitation. All questions or clarification inquiries must be submitted through Periscope S2G by the date and time referenced in the solicitation document (including any addenda). The County will respond to all questions via Periscope. Broward County is advertising a Pre-Solicitation Notice for an upcoming Invitations to Bid (ITB) solicitation for a Sand Bypass Dredging Project at Broward County Port Everglades. This is a unique and complex project for a contractor to create infrastructure on the north side of Port Everglades Inlet in Broward County, Florida sufficient to facilitate the collection and storage of beach-compatible sand for transfer to the south side of the inlet. Work to be completed will consist of excavation by dredge of a sand trap and a portion of the rubble spoil shoal and disposal of the dredge material in the Port Everglades Harbor Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS). Excavated materials shall be segregated by size and disposed of in specific areas of the ODMDS as required by the Permit. The Work will include furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, and incidentals required to complete the Work including but not limited to mobilization; demobilization; site preparation and restoration; existing structure protection; vibration monitoring and control; dredging and dredge material disposal; equipment and material transportation and associated facilitates; layout; physical surveys; quality control and assurance compliance; environmental protection; and all associated activities and requirements described in the Plans, Specifications, and Requirements, and the Contract Documents of the solicitation. More specific details of these work elements will be included in the upcoming solicitation, estimated to be advertised by October 02, 2023. This Pre-Solicitation advertisement notice is provided to notify interested dredge contractors, marine contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers of this upcoming future solicitation. The County is not distributing any project documents through this Pre-Solicitation advertisement notice. Vendors are not required to respond to this Pre-Solicitation advertisement notice.
