Currently the pond is not functioning as intended. Concrete structures needing repairs consist of a large spillway on the west side of the pond and a drop inlet at the southwest corner. The spillway has been washed out causing a section of the concrete to collapse. The drop inlet re-establishment will need to be evaluated after removal of vegetation and sediment to determine its current condition. Trees of various sizes have overtaken the pond edges and will need to be cut down and removed, including the stumps. Shrubs and grasses will be removed, and a new littoral vegetation layer established. Trees and stumps will be chipped onsite and dumped in a specified area near the work area. Vegetation, muck, and concrete debris will also have a designated dump area near the work zone. There is also one tree to the southeast of the pond that will be preserved, this will be marked on the drawings. Additional drawings, details, and photos are attached for reference. The overall purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the stormwater pond system (pumphouse pond & SW pond) back to a functioning state.
