he Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) has established a contracting opportunity to provide the following: tree trimming services for trees 13 feet and above in height, along the G Line (Orange), an 18-mile-long dedicated Busway that connects the east and West San Fernando Valley communities This solicitation has been designated as a Small Business Prime (SB Prime) set-aside issued in accordance with Metro's Small Business Prime (Set-Aside) Implementation Policy and Procedures. This solicitation is open to Certified Small Businesses Only. SBEs responding to this solicitation must be SBE certified with Metro in the appropriate NAICS codes at the time the bid is submitted. An SBE submitting a proposal must perform a commercially useful function (CUF) during the performance of the contract. An SBE is presumed to be performing a CUF when it performs and exercises responsibility for at least thirty percent (30%) of the total cost of the contract work - actually performing, managing or supervising the work involved with its own workforce.
