The CONTRACTOR shall provide the material procurement, fabrication, testing, delivery, labor, supervision, tools, apparatus, equipment, conveyances, mobilization, demobilization, preparation/planning, cutting, grinding, welding, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE), and submittals for the fabrication, removal and installation of the Fish Return Line. The Refueling Outage (RE33) is scheduled for September 29, 2024, through November 3, 2024. The outage portion of the installation is anticipated to begin approximately October 3, 2024. The specific start date for the outage portion of the work scope will be identified by June 27, 2024. Cooper Nuclear Station is an 800 MW power generating station with a General Electric boiling water reactor and Westinghouse turbine generator. The plant site is located 80 miles south of Omaha, Nebraska, on the west side of the Missouri River, approximately 2 1/4 miles south of Brownville, Nebraska. Grade elevation is 900 feet above sea level and the plant is accessible by a two-lane paved road. The work will be located above and in the Missouri River and its bank. Therefore, most work shall be performed off barges with the use cranes and man lifts. Removal And Installation Of Fish/debris Return At Cooper Nuclear Station, Located Near Brownville, Nebraska. Bids not in accordance with "Instruction to Bidders" in the Contract Documents may be rejected. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, irrevocable letter of credit, or bid bond, or a term bond must be on file with the DISTRICT. The DISTRICT will award the Contract to the responsible Bidder(s) who submit(s) the lowest and best bid(s), or it may reject all bids. The CONTRACTOR shall provide the material procurement, fabrication, testing, delivery, labor, supervision, tools, apparatus, equipment, conveyances, mobilization, demobilization, preparation/planning, cutting, grinding, welding, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE), and submittals for the fabrication, removal and installation of the Fish Return Line. The scope ofwork includes the removal ofthe existing 18 inch carbon steel return line and installation of one (1) new 18 inch and two (2) new eight (8) inch stainless steel lines, including installation ofthree (3) new four (4) pile support structures as shown on Contract drawings. The scope also includes: All labor, equipment and materials (except as noted in SECTION G, paragraph 0,below) required by the Contract drawings. Reuse existing 18 inch carbon steel pipe stub grouted into the building from its flanged connection. Core drilling two (2) new 10 inch holes through reinforce 36 inch concrete wall. Grout new eight (8) inch pipes using special method to ensure no voids, Pile installation in the river including temporary removal and reinstallation of the existing rip rap. The scope of work is detailed in the drawings included in SECTION I. In addition, SECTION I lists several reference drawings for use when planning and bidding the Contract work scope.
