The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Comprehensive renovations and additions to the existing Warwick High School. 2. The existing building totals 360,000 square feet on two floors with additional crawl spaces and pipe tunnels for systems distribution. The additions provide an additional 1500 square feet of space to support the district athletic needs. 3. Work includes but is not limited to selective demolition to accomplish new work, reinforced concrete footings, concrete slab on grade, metal roof deck supported by steel bar joists and beams supported by CMU load-bearing walls in select areas. 4. All of the existing built-up roofing system will be replace with an EPDM adhered roofing system including tapered insulation over existing metal deck, gypsum roof deck and acoustical roof deck. 5. The exterior concrete masonry walls are clad in brick veneer at additions. The existing building includes concrete masonry walls and metal studs clad with brick veneer and stucco system with an EIFS finish. Existing brick and EIFS finish include cleaning and repairing as needed for a clean, finish exterior. 6. Exterior openings are primarily a thermally-broken aluminum storefront system. Some existing window and storefront systems will receive new hardware and weatherstripping for a weather-tight seal. 7. Interior partitions are a mixture of CMY, load-bearing CMU and gypsum wall board on metal stud partitions. 8. Interior doors are primarily solid core wood doors or hollow metal doors in hollow metal frames with some have interior aluminum storefront doors and frames. In many cases, existing door slabs are being replaced in kind. Hollow metal frames are to be prepped for new slab and refinished. 9. Finish flooring materials include Terrazzo, VCT, LVT, Carpet, Ceramic Tile, Resinous Flooring and Rubber Flooring. 10. The project includes replacement and expansion of existing utilities as well as comprehensive replacement and upgrades of existing mechanical, plumbing, electrical, technology and access control systems. 11. Portions of the work area within the building will received new fire suppression systems with a potential expansion at a later date. 12. The new additions will be separated into separate buildings, divided by two-hour fire walls. Existing rated walls within the existing structure will need to remain and not be compromised during construction and renovations of the existing school. 13. New gymnasium equipment, accessories, technology lab equipment, and low voltage systems will be supplied with the project.
