The Project will remove and replace approximately 280 linear feet of reinforced concrete box (RCB) that has deteriorated behind 6000 Nieman Road. Construction will also include surface restoration including asphalt pavement, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, sod, and other items. Construction will occur in drainage and temporary construction easements obtained for this project. If you have questions regarding the bid documents or for project information, please call the Public Works Department at (913) 742-6008. This project will only be available for download and bidding online and there will be no public opening of online bid documents. The email address registered with e-Builder must be a monitored email. No pre-bid meeting will be held for this project. Each Bidder shall upload and/or file with their bid a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond drawn on an acceptable bank in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid Bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders, with the exception of the second qualifying bidder, at such time as their bids are rejected. All bidders shall verify that they have considered all issued addenda. Any addenda issued during the time of bidding shall be covered and included in the bid. There will be no clarifications or exceptions allowed on the Bid. Bids are for a total bid package, and total contract price. Each bid shall be made on a proposal form included with the bid documents. Bids shall be submitted online as indicated on the e-Builder website. An officer of the firm making such proposal shall properly execute all proposal forms. Bids received after the time and date above specified shall not be considered. The City of Shawnee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in bids.
