This Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization for a General Contractor for the E381-00 Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) Laboratory Auto-Line Replacement project. The analyzers and automation line at Royal Columbian Hospital Laboratory are nearing their end of life. Royal Columbian Hospital is one of four major sites within Fraser Health Authority and Chemistry and IA analyzers are being replaced to achieve standardization across all four major sites. This project is the installation of the new chemistry, IA analyzers and automation line at Royal Columbian Hospital. Desired outcomes include renovations of current facility infrastructure including Data, Electrical, Mechanical and Architectural components to prepare the space for the replacement of outdated analyzers and automation. Ability of the project to proceed without any downtime to the current lab operations and to minimize the impact to workflow and staff wellbeing. The lab at RCH is in operation 24hrs a day and 7 days a week. As such, this project will be implemented in phases. Schedule allowance for analyzer installation by the vendor in temporary or permanent locations and schedule allowance for validation of analyzers between phases is required and outlined herein. Furniture Fixtures and equipment will be reused where possible and identified on the drawings. The estimated construction duration, including allowance for analyzer moves by the vendor, installation by vendor and validation times, is 9 months commencing at the beginning of November 2023, with substantial completion in the week of August 1, 2024.
