As of September 20, 2024, an engineer has been selected nd this project is in the design development phase. Construction is not expected to start until 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The project includes design of transit, trail, and parking improvements at Chimney Beach (~130 spaces) and Secret Harbor (~120 spaces). Chimney Beach includes a pedestrian actuated signalized crossing on SR 28, .9 miles of trail, a prefabricated bridge at Marlette Creek, and vista points. Transit pullouts at Thunderbird Lodge, Chimney Beach, and Secret Harbor. Signage extension of the No Parking Zone from just north of the IVGID pump station to the chain control sign/pullout south of Secret Harbor is included. NEPA is complete. Construction to begin in 2026 Any questions raised by Proposers must be submitted via email to jallen@tahoetransportation.org no later than 3:00 p.m. PST, on October 5, 2023. Only questions or requests submitted by the deadline will be considered. No requests for additional information or clarification to any other TTD office, consultant, employee, or the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will be considered. Responses to questions regarding the RFP, including requests for clarification and requests to correct errors, will be posted on TTD's website on or before October 12, 2023. DBE Goal: 6.0% (5 points): Submittal of completed Attachment C - DBE Commitment to Subcontractors, DBE Certificates, and DBE Commitment Letters per Section VII will satisfy a response to this Evaluation Factor, and will not count towards the maximum allowable pages.
