Montezuma County is soliciting bids for the procurement and installation of a Solar Photovoltaic System at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds. The County reserves the right to waive any formality or any informality in the process of awarding a bid. The county reserves the right to accept any bid, in whole or in part, and to reject any or all bids if it be deemed in the best interest of the County do so. Bids will then be publicly re-read and decided on at the next regularly scheduled BOCC meeting on Tuesday October 10th 2023 The project consists of Solar Photovoltaic System located at 30100 US-160 in Montezuma County, Colorado. Work includes procurement and installation of 112 kW photovoltaic (PV) system, approximately two hundred fifty (250) solar panels, powering the Fairgrounds arena and 42 kW PV system, approximately ninety-four (94) solar panels powering the Fairgrounds shop, on the roof of the County Fairgrounds Arena. These systems include direct current (DC) optimizers, inverters to match phase and frequency, racking systems and all related equipment necessary to make clean power and connect to the provided alternating current (AC) interconnection. The existing 15 kilovolt amps (kVA) pad mount transformer will be upgraded to a 37 1/2 kVA pad mount transformer to accommodate the new 42 kW DC (34.2 kW AC) solar array and visible fused disconnects for each array.
