The Starkville Mayor and Board of Aldermen meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, at 5:30 p.m. local time in the Courtroom at City Hall, 110 West Main Street, Starkville, Mississippi. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank, payable without condition to the City of Starkville, Mississippi or a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each bid as guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. All contractors responding to this advertisement for bids must comply with all applicable requirements of Chapters 3 and 5 of Title 31 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. Bid containers must be SEALED and marked MCKEE PARK PICKLEBALL COURT RESURFACING - PROJECT NO. 23031 due October 4, 2023. Upon the outside or exterior of which is found the contractor's current Certificate of Responsibility number or statement to the effect that the bid enclosed does not exceed $50,000.00 (fifty thousand dollars), pursuant to the provisions of '31-3-21 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. The bid opening will be held in the Conference Room on the 1st floor of City Hall. Interested persons are invited to attend. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days without the written consent of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids received, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, or to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the City.
