Question Deadline 09/27/2023 at 4:00 PM ET This solicitation and the specifications that follow are being offered to qualify and select contractor(s) to furnish necessary labor, equipment, materials, supervision, tools, and all related incidentals required to perform routine repairs, replacement, refinishing and re-lining of wood floors for gymnasiums, stages, steps, corridors, hallways, and classrooms at various locations for Baltimore City Public Schools City Schools serves the needs of public education in Baltimore City, covering approximately 77 square miles, with a residential population of more than 646,000. It is the fourth largest public school system in the State of Maryland. City Schools operates 156 facilities over a ten-mile radius, which includes Pre-k, elementary, middle, and high schools as well as special education centers and alternative schools. The Central administration headquarters is located at 200 East North Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland. City Schools is governed by the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners ("Board"), which has 10 members (including a student member). The Board is appointed by the Mayor of Baltimore. The Board sets and oversees policy and implementation of regulations for the school system and approves all major appointments. The City Schools Chief Executive Officer reports to the Board. City Schools currently has approximately 79,000 students supported by approximately 10,000 employees and an annual operating budget of approximately $1.3B.
