Reference Number 0000329929 4080 Castle Way is located in the Milam Manor Subdivision off Milam Road in Southeast Fairburn. The Final Plat for the subdivision was recorded in Fulton County Superior Court on July 29, 2003. According to the Final Plat, there is a storm drainage structure in the cul-de-sac of Autumn Green Drive and Castle Way. From this structure, there is a 24" storm drain pipe that extends east between lots 87 (4080 Castle Way) and 88 (4076 Castle Way) inside of a 20' drainage easement. This pipe terminates at a drop inlet/junction box and then proceeds south to a detention pond for the subdivision. Unfortunately, the Final Plat is incorrect. Instead of conveying flow from the drop inlet to the pond, the pond conveys flow back to the drop inlet. The storm drainpipe was installed backward, and the drop inlet served as the pond's outlet structure. However, instead of a storm pipe leaving the drop inlet to a headwall, the flow was coming out of the top of the structure, causing erosion issues in the backyard of 4080 Castle Way.
