***As of October 27, 2023. Project has not been awarded yet. The scope for this project includes planning, design, fabrication and installation of signs at the new City Hall. The project will include one concrete monument sign, and a maximum of up to ten (10) wayfinding signs to assist the public with locating the front door and City Council chamber. The project will also include consultation only on font design and spacing for up to three building signs including an address using aluminum materials for letters/numbers. The number and type of sign is subject to change based on the recommendation of the awarded contractor. As part of the scope the Contractor will design layout and placement of the signage as needed. In addition, the Contractor will be designing a cohesive exterior sign program that will incorporate or reference City of Moorpark branding. The City recently had welcome monument signs installed at key locations within the City. The monument sign for City Hall should retain the same aesthetic characteristics of the entry signage, but be sized appropriately and contain verbiage specific to the City Hall location. See Appendix III for City Entry sign concept. Conceptual sign designs will be reviewed and approved by the City before full fabrication of signage shall commence. See Appendix IV for Site Plan. After approval of conceptual design, the Contractor shall fabricate and install all signage components or other related items of work as shown on the RFP documents. The work shall also include provision of lighting for the monument sign and building signs. Sign materials proposed should be made of durable, fade resistant materials. All materials, services, and/or work not specifically mentioned which are necessary in order to provide a complete project shall be included in the proposal and shall conform to all local, state, and federal requirements in accordance with the requirements, terms specifications, conditions and provisions hereinafter contained. The City of Moorpark invites all interested and qualified persons or firms capable of providing bids for a turnkey project for design, planning, fabrication, and installation of exterior monument and wayfinding signage at the New City Hall building located at 323 Science Drive.
