The Minerva Local School District Board of Education is accepting proposals from firms to replace the roof at Minerva Middle School for its Middle School Roof Replacement Project. Project Scope. The Project consists of all labor, materials, and any other services necessary to replace the shingle roofing system atthe Owners middle school, which will include, butis not limited to,the following: Remove the existing shingle roof and properly dispose off-site; Remove the existing vented nail-base panels and properly dispose off-site; Remove and salvage the existing rigid insulation; Install a vapor barrier appropriate for the roofing system and the location ofthe Project on the existing steel deck; Reinstallthe salvaged rigid insulation; Install additional rigid insulation to provide a roofing system with an insulation rating of R 20; Install a non-vented membrane roofing system with one inch welded ribs that resembles a standing seam metal roof. Contractor must provide a 20-year weather tightness warranty; and Correct any existing ventilation issues as required by the Ohio Building Code. All questions must be submitted in writing to: Gary Chaddock, Superintendent, at chaddog@minerva.sparcc.org, by 2:00 p.m. three (3) days prior to the submission deadline provided above. The questions and answers will be emailed to all individuals and firms that were provided with a copy of the Request for Proposals.
