The project consists of utilities, detention pond, and roadway base for the future Community, Activity, Recreation and Education (CARE) Center in the City ofGonzales. The public entity advertising for bids for work may require the bidders to attach bid security in the form of a bid bond, a certified check, or cashier's check for not more than five percent of the estimated price of supplies or materials, as evidence of good faith of the bidder as prescribed by La R.S. 38: 2218(A). To address the above requirement for electronic bids the City of Gonzales will allow electronic bids submitted via the City approved on-line bid site to be submitted as follw Proposals must be submitted in hard copy in a sealed envelope. Electronic bids and electronic bid bonds are also accepted via www.centralauctionhouse.com. Where bids are to be received on forms furnished by the awarding authority, no contract documents shall be issued to anyone except a Licensed Contractor or his authorized Representatives. In no event shall any documents for bidding be issued later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the hour and date set for receiving bids.
