FLOOD REPAIRS - MARKET STREET will consist of removal of existing guiderail, excavation, and placement of rock, Class R-6 around wingwalls, guide rail installation, and paving. The items of work are identified more specifically in the Project Specifications. This entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. Blytheburn Road (CR 23) End wall Replacement will consist of the replacement of a damaged end wall and the replacement of R-6 rip rap along Blytheburn Road (CR 23) A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of THE COUNTY OF LUZERNE, negotiable US Government Bonds (at par value), or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of 10% of the Total Bid of construction shall be submitted with each bid. The SUCCESSFUL BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. However, the award of the contracts may be delayed by required approval of another government agency or closing on the project funding loans. Owner shall reject all bids or award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder within 60 days of the bid opening Question Deadline 09/14/2023 Questions must be submitted, via online complete all work on or before December 31, 2023. If all work is not completed on time, liquidated damages will be assessed at the rate of $500.00 per additional calendar day.
