This project shall be conducted in accordance with the plans, specifications and other contract documents, all of which may be obtained as per section A-2 of this Notice Inviting Bids. There is no separate plan set for this project. The project consists of the following The installation of forty-one 4-inch diameter and one 6-inch diameter cured-in-place pipe liners into the residential sewer service laterals located on Riverside Dr., Inyo Pl., Marin Pl., Ashley Ave., Porter St., and Boxwood Rd. in Woodland, CA. Also included is installation of two 4-inch top hats and one 6-inch top hat. There is no separate set of plans for this project. The project specific information is in the technical specs of the attached document. Questions should be directed to Mark Miller, mark.miller@cityofwoodland.org, (530) 661-5968. The City's estimated cost of the improvements for base bid only is $125,000 to $150,000. All bids must be sealed and accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or Bid Bond made payable to the City in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. For the purposes of this Section, "the amount of the bid" includes all additive alternates but does not include deductive alternates. The cash, cashier's check, certified check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a written contract within ten (10) work days after being requested to do so. The bid security will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder fails to comply within said time. Upon an award to the successful bidder, the security of bidders shall be returned in a reasonable period of time. Prior to the performance of any work hereunder, the successful bidder shall be required to furnish both a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price and a faithful performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. All bonds are to be secured from a surety company acceptable to the City and that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, and is authorized by the State of California, and all documents required by Code of Civil Procedure section 995.660, to the extent required by law. The Contractor shall execute the Contract within ten (10) work days after receipt of the Contract from the City. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
