The scope of the Triton Center Project at UC San Diego includes the redevelopment of a 9.2-acre site. The project aims to replace old structures with new, higher-density, sustainability-focused buildings. It is intended to provide expanded and centralized space for specialized instructional support, student health and well-being services, including mental health, and other student academic services and resources to meet the needs of a growing and diverse student population. Additionally, the project includes the construction of an alumni and welcome center, multi-purpose space for various campus programs, public realm improvements, and structured parking. The project is designed to comply with the University of California Policy on Sustainable Practices and UC San Diego design guidelines. Estimated Construction Cost: $32,000,000 Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Lump Sum Base Bid, excluding alternates, shall accompany each Bid No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. Contractors and subcontractors must use the DIR’s upgraded electronic certified payroll reporting (eCPR) system to furnish certified payroll records (CPRs) to the Labor Commissioner. Contractors and subcontractors who have been submitting PDF copies of their CPRs for earlier projects must also begin using the new system. ALL CONTRACTORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (DIR) AT BID TIME. *License Required- C-8 September 15, 2023; 4:00 p.m. - Prequalification Questionnaires Due
