The City of Mesa is seeking qualified general contractors for a Job Order Contract (JOC) to provide Electrical construction services for minor and/or major improvement projects, large maintenance projects, related repairs, re-construction, and alteration services to City facilities The City of Mesa reserves the right to reject any or all Statements of Qualifications, to waive any informality or irregularity in any Statement of Qualifications received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective Statements of Qualifications received. No binding contract will exist between the submitter and the City until the City executes a written contract. The initial term of the JOC contract will be for three (3) years and may be renewed up to two (2) additional one-year terms The scope of this IDIQ JOC is to provide Electrical services for maintenance, repair, minor and/or major new construction services, including minor associated incidental design services, for a broad range of City projects. Anticipated work includes construction, installation, upgrades, testing, maintenance and repair of Commercial and Industrial electrical systems, electronic controls, telemetering devices and similar voltage ranges between 0 and 15,000 volts for city facilities. It is anticipated that all work will be installed per the National Electric Code. The selected JOC will work closely with City Departments to produce Method of Procedures (MOP's) which align with City Standard Operating Procedures, schedules, and existing electrical equipment. Support field investigations and load studies which may include but are not limited to locating and tracing electrical wiring, verification of conduits, and other related existing conditions. City facilities may be Parks, Offices, Public Buildings, Water/Wastewater treatment plants, Control buildings, or any facility where an electrical system is present. Contractors should meet the safety requirements of NFPA 70E.
