The Town of Kirkland Lake is seeking the services of a qualified Contractor (herein known as Company) to complete an interior renovation of the Children's Department of the Teck Centennial Library. The purpose of the project is to modernize the children's department, located on the ground floor of the building which was built in 1967. The renovation will include an accessible entranceway, furnishings, service desk and shelving, as well as upgrades to spaces and furnishings to inspire learning, creativity, and community for children, families, and young adults. The Company will complete the interior renovation of the existing library, which is approximately 2080 sq ft, in accordance with construction drawings and specifications provided by the Architectural Firm, Perkins and Will. Work includes removal and replacement of existing floor finishes, lighting furniture system, paint, ceilings, etc. which will result in an enhanced accessible physical environment, and a greater functional space for programs and services. Polestar CM Inc. will provide Project Management and Contract Administration including but not limited to, reviewing shop drawings, reviewing, responding to RFI's, general site reviews and site visit reports Construction would be expected to being in late fall of 2023 or winter of 2024 to be completed by spring of 2024. Award is subject to final approval.
