A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. The project scope includes complete track replacement and new turf football field to the football complex at Knott County Central High School located at 76 Patriot Lane, Hindman, KY. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. All questions during the bidding period shall be submitted via email to Abby Davis (integrity / Architecture) at abby@integrityarch.com .All questions shall be submitted no later than eight (7) days prior to the established bid date. The project scope includes new track surface and new turf football field among some minor site work at the football complex at Knott County Central High School located at 76 Patriot Lane, Hindman, KY. Liquidated damages will be assessed per the Specifications. The Project is to be completed within 10 calendar months from the date of the official Notice to Proceed. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for receiving the bids, all proposals that have been completely filled out and have been properly submitted with the appropriate attachments in accordance with the Contract Documents will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, payable to the owner in an amount of not less than 5% of the bid. The award of the contract shall be made on the basis of the lowest and best bid in the interest of The Knott County Board of Education. No bidder may withdraw his / her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and shall have the right to reject any and all bids. Successful bidder is required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. These include Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. Further, Title VI Minority bidders are encouraged to bid.
