The City of Euless currently utilizes leased fiber to connect certain facilities throughout the City to the main data center / hub site. The City desires to move forward with buried, city-owned, fiber optic cabling capable of supporting current and future bandwidth needs. Scope of Services Proposals shall assume that the vendor will provide the materials and labor to design, furnish, install and terminate all connections per the requirements listed below. The fiber installation must include all appropriate permitting, locates, hand holes, grounding rods, markers, conduit, and rack mount fiber termination equipment. The fiber must be capable of running a minimum of 10 Gigabit, full duplex speeds, given all distances specified in this RFP. All fiber terminations must be LC connections. All materials and equipment supplied to the City of Euless must be new and unused. All fiber must be buried and installed in buried fiber conduit. Fiber cannot be direct burial. Fiber cannot be aerial. All hand holes must be rated for occasional traffic. All hand holes must contain 50 feet of additional fiber for each line. All paved roads and existing utilities must be crossed via directional bore. The contracted firm(s) shall follow an approved traffic control plan at all times for the duration of the project. The contracted firm(s) shall provide detailed as-built plans to the Euless Information Services Department in AutoCAD format. Fiber locations: 24 strands shall be provided, installed, and terminated between the Euless Family Life Center at 300 W Midway Drive and the water production facility at 2700 North Main Street. 24 strands shall be provided, installed, and terminated between the Euless Family Life Center at 300 W Midway Drive and the water production facility at 2591 North Main Street. 24 strands shall be provided, installed, and terminated between the Euless Family Life Center at 300 W Midway Drive and the water production facility at 1400 North Main Street. 24 strands shall be provided, installed, and terminated between the Euless Family Life Center at 300 W Midway Drive and the Fire Station at 201 East Ash Lane. 24 strands shall be provided, installed, and terminated between the Euless Family Life Center at 300 W Midway Drive and the water production facility at 720 Bear Creek Parkway 24 strands shall be provided, installed, and terminated between the Euless Family Life Center at 300 W Midway Drive and the water production facility at 120 West Fuller Drive The details of the design and pathway of the fiber are subjective and may be different for each contractor. Contractor will provide rack-mount termination panels and utilize LC terminations. Once the fiber install has been completed, the City of Euless Information Services Department will install switches and transceivers to bring the network online and test for connectivity before acceptance. All submitted proposals will be reviewed by the City of Euless for compliance with the specified RFP requirements. The selection committee will decide proposals which meet the RFP requirements and will evaluate the proposals to determine which proposal provides the best value to the City. The right is reserved, as interest of the City of Euless may require, to reject any or all bids, and waive any informality in bids received. Due to budgetary considerations, the City may award all or part of the items listed in the Request for Proposals.
