The scope of the work consists of preparation and painting of an existing 1,000,000 gallon torospherical elevated water tower. Wet & dry interior as well as the exterior will be included. Several other items will also be repaired, re- placed and furnished and installed. The opinion of probable construction costs is $1,230,000. Proposals must be submitted on the form furnished by the City; must contain the full name of every person interested therein and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of a bond as required in Section 153.54 (A) of the Ohio Revised Code with a satisfactory surety or accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than ten (10%) per cent of the amount of the proposal by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 and Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code on a solvent bank, subject to the conditions provided in the Notice to Bidders. The height to the high water level is 130 ft with a head range of 30 ft. Therefore, the low water level is 100 ft.. Attached is a photo ofthe nameplate for the tank for reference. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance- bond. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to condition of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his bid within Sixty (60) days after the actual opening thereof. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
