Estimate value is $140,000. BONDS The Contractor will be required to provide a Payment and Performance Bond in the amount of the bid. The bond shall be issued by a company licensed to do business in the State of Michigan. BID BOND: A BID BOND, in the amount of 5% of the Bid amount will be required for this Project. Lafayette Street, Greenville, MI 48838 Or by email at: dhinken@greenvillemi.org The City Engineer will provide written answers to questions through addenda and/ or posted on the City of Greenville Webpage SCOPE OF WORK: A former bank drive-thru location at 208 S Lafayette (Franklin) is located adjacent to a public parking lot identified as Lot 3 in Greenville, Michigan. A previous demolition contract will result in the building and all surface improvements to the east of the public sidewalk along Franklin Street being removed and smoothed out. The site once featured a home, with a possible basement and the status of that basement is not known at the time of this Bid. Therefore, a miscellaneous quantity of Masonry and Concrete Structure , Rem is included to remove debris that could be remaining after the demolition contract to below the subgrade surface. In addition, the City has acquired property on the south side of the adjacent portion of Lot 3 for development of another new parking lot. There were existing buildings on this site also that were removed in the early 2000's. Otherwise the work is straight forward and will include creating the cross section shown on the Plan by excavating and hauling an approximate excess of 1684 cyd of material; removing sidewalk, driveway, curb and gutter and some existing HMA surface; installing 4 precast concrete structures (provided by the City and available on-site); providing and installing 12-inch diameter concrete storm sewer pipe; installing sand subbase, if needed; installing new curb and gutter, driveway and sidewalk; and installing and grading 21AA aggregate base material. HMA surface and other items will be under separate contracts. The work will include approximately 138 square yards of concrete removal; 1684 cyd of excavation and hauling; installation of 4 manholes (provided by the Owner); installation of 165 feet of 12 inch Class A storm sewer; installation of 85 feet of 1- 1/2 inch diameter conduit; 572 feet of concrete curb and gutter; install 120 square yards of concrete sidewalk and driveway; install 1 concrete light pole base; provide, spread and compact 800 tons of aggregate base material.
