Village of Birchwood Water Tower Rehabilitation The work for which bids are asked includes the following: Repainting of an existing 60,000 gallon, single-pedestal, elevated water tank including complete removal and replacement of the wet interior surfaces and exterior surfaces. The work will require the installation of a temporary containment system and temporary water pressure system and will also include miscellaneous structural and electrical improvements. The work shall be substantially complete within 40 calendar days of the draining of the water tower and no later than September 30, 2024. Final completion shall be within 70 calendar days of the draining of the water tower and no later than October 30, 2024. 2024. A municipality, in awarding prime contracts, and the primary engineer and primary contractor, in awarding subcontractors, are required to make a good faith effort to achieve a combined minimum goal of 15% participation for MBE/WBE utilization in accordance with s.NR 162.09(3), s.NR 166.12(4), and s.NR 167.18(4) Wis.
