SUMMARY This requirement is for design-build services to provide preparation efforts to Room 277 in Building One (1) at the Providence VA Health Care System (VAHCS) in Providence, Rhode Island. This requirement is classified under construction as it calls for the alteration of real property.The VAMC Providence intends to procure a new Digital Radiology X-Ray from GE. The procurement is intended to include the design and construction of preparation needs to assure a complete and functional installation. It is intended that the new GE Discovery XR656 HD X-Ray be installed in Room 277 of Building 1. It is the intent of this of Work that a contractor/vendor shall provide construction services for preparation for the installation of the new equipment. This project will provide for construction of utilities services and finishes necessary in the designated locations to allow for the installation of the GE Discovery XR656 HD X-Ray by others. The work shall include, but not limited to, all labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, equipment and permits necessary to provide for the removal of the existing flooring, floor repairs, new flooring, removal of the existing drop ceiling and hard ceiling above that, new ceiling, remounting of existing cassette cooling system, new Unistrut system, and relocation of electrical work, if required. Strict noise and infection control measures shall be followed.
