It is understood that the proposed greenhouse will preliminarily have a footprint on the order of 120 feet by 60 feet. The type of construction is unknown at this time. The structure is anticipated to be supported by bearing walls and/or columns with maximum loads estimated at 2,000 pounds per lineal foot for walls and 25 kips for columns. We have assumed a slab-on-grade with a maximum 100 pounds per square foot live load. Greenhouse Lab and Restroom construction. The Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. Signed: Mr. Marshall Morris Capital Projects Coordinator, Blue Ridge Community College. Plans available for inspection from September 5th, 2023. The check shall be made out to Clark Nilsen. General Contractors may obtain 2 sets on deposit, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing may obtain 1 set on deposit. The full plan deposit will be returned to those bidders provided all documents are returned in good, usable condition within ten (10) days after the bid date. This meeting is mandatory for general contractors. General contractors not in attendance at this meeting will not be allowed to submit a proposal. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms. This is also an open meeting for presentation of performance standards for owner preferred brand alternates.
