Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany the sealed proposal of each bidder will be required as follows: a cashier's check, a certified check, or a surety bond payable to the City of Fellsmere. Deposits will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. If the Contract is awarded to a Bidder, that Bidder shall enter into a Contract with the City and furnish the required Performance and Payment Bonds and Certificates of Insurance or forfeit the Bid Bond or security as liquidated damages. A contract must be executed within ten (10) days following the award of the successful bidder. The City of Fellsmere is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes bids from Minority and Women Owned Business (M/WBE) contractors and complies with Section 3 requirements as set forth in 24 CFR 75 of the Federal Regulations. The City reserves the right to delay the awarding of the Contract for up to sixty (60) days after the bid opening, to waive informalities in any bid, or to reject any or all bids in whole or in part with or without cause/or to accept the bid that, in its judgment, will serve the best interests of the City.
