Construction of Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) Transit Offices to provide accommodation and work place for owner's employees who have to travel to Numavik for short periods in each of fourteen communities. These two-story buildings will have to house up to eight bedrooms with full integrated bathroom, washroom, workstations, a collaborative work space, a meeting room, a kitchen, a living room and/or rest area. The approximative area of the Transit Offices is approximately 565 m2. The estimated budget for the construction of the Transit Offices is approximately $12.5 million. The project also provides for the construction of residential buildings for teaching staff consisting of bedrooms and necessary utilities. The surface area of these two-story buildings will be equal to 425m2, the budget for their construction being approximately $6 million. Note. The stated project parameters and value are provided for one of fourteen facilities planned for construction. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded a consortium of architectural and civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering professional consultants to provide design and construction work monitoring services for the project implementation. Preliminary studies and conceptual design. Preliminary plans are expected to begin in early 2024. Timelines of further project development are being finalized.
