The scope of work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures and services required for the placement of a rubberized chip seal on Mud Springs Road in Black Canyon City from Old Black Canyon Highway to Squaw Valley Road; as well as a 2" asphaltic concrete overlay, to be placed on top of the proposed rubberized chip seal coat, between I-17 and Landfill Road. A single application of fog seal coat shall be installed to cap off the newly placed rubberized chip seal coat in project sections outside of the overlay limits. The total length of Mud Springs Road receiving rubberized chip seal is 8,568 feet with an approximate surface area of 25,402 square yards. The length of project receiving an additional 2" asphaltic concrete overlay is 3,028 feet with approximately 1,202 tons of asphaltic concrete with PG 70-10 Binder. Total quantity of fog seal is estimated at 1,647 gallons, the quantity of bituminous tack cost is estimated at 1,040 gallons. Other associated work includes 506 feet of guardrail height adjustment by raising blocks, 63 feet of guardrail removal, installation of 1 new MSKT TL2 guardrail end treatment, 5,896 feet of shoulder build-up and re-establishing all pavement markings. All work is to be done in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. Bids shall include all applicable taxes and must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract price bid, made payable to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors of Yavapai County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of Yavapai County.
